Manufacturing of containers for SE "Ukrainian State Enterprise "Radon"

"NT-Engineering" LLC will supply to UkrSE "Radon" the containers for transportation and storage of radioactive waste (RAW) and equipment for overloading RAW. The project is implemented through international technical assistance and funded by the US Government.

In December 2017, NT Engineering LLC signed a contract for the manufacture and supply of containers for the transportation and storage of ionizing radiation sources waste under the project VECTOR II funded by the US government. Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) provides technical expertise in the implementation of this project.

The purpose of the project is to support the safe transportation of RAW at the territory of Ukraine.

The project involves the purchase of transport containers for the safe transportation of RAW to the Central Storage facility, located on the site of the VECTOR production complex in Chornobyl exclusion zone.

The recipient of the container park will be the State Specialized Enterprise "Central Enterprise on Radioactive Waste Management" and all five special factories belonging to the UkrSE "Radon" distribution company (Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Odesa).

The contract provides for the implementation of work on the "turnkey" basis - from the development of design and technical documentation, the manufacture and certification of containers and equipment to the installation of manufactured equipment at each of the above-mentioned enterprises.
